A year ago, our son, Evan Froug, 28, didn't feel quite right.
His elderly paternal grandfather had recently died of leukemia. Evan's doctor thought he might have mononucleosis, but he didn't. He was diagnosed with AML leukemia -- the same leukemia that his grandfather, along with his other grandfather, had died from.
Chemotherapy followed and he went into full remission.
That was a year ago, this week. Now, the cancer is back .
Evan is again undergoing chemotherapy in Tampa, Fla. in preparation for an eventual bone marrow transplant.
But first, Evan needs a bone marrow match – he needs to find a person with the same marrow as him.
Could this be you?
You can help Evan right away.
First, you can donate to Gift of Life bone marrow registry to pay for hundreds of potential bone marrow donors to be entered into the registry – and hopefully one of those entries could be a match for Evan.
Second, you can either obtain a bone marrow test kit from Gift of Life or register at the nearest bone marrow donation center to see if you are a match for Evan.
Evan is fighting for his life. We must find a match in time.
Please act now.
Go to the top of this page, subscribe for updates on Evan's progress and hit “Give.” Anything you donate could help Evan overcome his cancer and help other sick children and adults in desperate need of a bone marrow match.
Thank You,
Dina and Jonathan
