Five years ago, a simple decision changed everything.

Through the Gift of Life Marrow Registry, I joined in just a few minutes—never imagining that I would one day be matched to someone fighting for his life. Shortly after, I donated stem cells to a man battling acute myeloid leukemia. What felt like a small act became something far greater: a second chance at life for someone else, and a life-changing journey for me.

A year later, I met him. He was no longer just a patient—he was David. A husband. A family man. Cancer-free. Full of life, with a future ahead of him. Today, I’m proud to call him my brother.

This experience didn’t just impact David’s life—it transformed mine. It inspired me to dedicate my time to raising awareness, volunteering, speaking to others, and ultimately working with Gift of Life to help more people say “yes” to saving a life.
