Ilay is a 20-year-old resident of Israel, and he is battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). On May 31, 2022 he was serving in the Israeli Defense Force, but did not feel well and went for a blood test. He was diagnosed with ALL.
To defeat ALL and recover his health, doctors have recommended a peripheral blood stem cell or bone marrow transplant from a donor who shares his same tissue type. We are urgently seeking donors to be tested to learn if they are a match for Ilay, or another patient in need.
Although Ilay has two brothers, they are matches for each other but not for him.
His best chance of a match is with someone who shares his genetic heritage. Ilay is of Syrian Lebanese and Georgian Sephardic ancestry.
If you are of Eastern Mediterranean and/or Sephardic ancestry, please join the registry today.
Our goal is to help this incredible young man beat this diagnosis and have a normal and healthy life.
