Help Sandler Rae Beat AML – Join the Gift of Life Marrow Registry
Sandler Rae was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) in October 2025, on her 23rd birthday. This past summer, after battling strep and swelling in her legs, she went to the Emergency Room, where she was diagnosed with Erythema Nodosum and a low white blood cell count. Following further testing, including a bone marrow biopsy, she learned she had AML.
Sandler Rae will be graduating from the University of Florida in December 2025 with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering. She is a proud sister of Alpha Chi Omega and a past President of Alpha Pi Mu. For many patients, including Sandler Rae, the only true cure for AML is a stem cell transplant.
Now, Sandler Rae is calling on college students everywhere to step up by joining the Gift of Life Marrow Registry. By simply swabbing your cheek, you could be the match Sandler Rae or another patient is waiting for—the one who gives someone a second chance at life.
