I got involved with the Gift of Life back in 2000 when I entered the registry at a bone marrow drive at the Bethsda, Maryland JCC. Seven years later I was called to be a donor for a mother of three in New Jersey. I recently contacted my recipient prior to the 3 year anniversary of her transplant and thanks to my stem cells, she is living cancer free!

Myself and others who have been impacted by the Gift of Life in one way or another have joined together to create the Gift of Life Young Professionals Committee. We recently launched the "Swab-a-Thon" to add 350 potential donors to the Gift of Life bone marrow registry over the next three months as well as raise the $54 needed for processing each new registered donor. I hope you can help us reach our goal!

My personal goal for this initiative is to raise $1800 and add 50 potential new donors to the registry. Please help me reach my goal and hopefully surpass it, by joining the registry and/or donating as much as you can to the cause (all funds raised go directly towards paying the cost of processing the kit).
