Welcome to my Team Page! It is my goal to raise funds for Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation, one of North Americas public bone marrow, blood stem cell and umbilical cord registries. For many suffering from Leukemia, lymphoma, other cancers, and genetic diseases, there is now hope for a cure through a transplant. That is, of course, if a match and donor can be found...

I always knew of this organization but never truly understood the vital role it played in, unfortunately, many peoples lives and families. My awareness grew when my sister, Nicole, was notified that she had the power to save someone's life through a bone marrow transplant. She went through with this donation on April 7, 2011 and I cannot be prouder. In addition, Nicole organized 7 Gift of Life swabbing drives in various summer camps in which 207+ new swabs were added to the registry. That is 207+ potential lives saved!

I have recently learned that, unfortunately, many swab kits are unable to be processed due to the high cost of $54 a kit. I am proud to say that Nicole put together a Gift of Life Team to compete in Poland Spring's 5 mile run on October 30, 2011 in Central Park to raise money for this cause. I will also say that I am a PROUD member of this team!
