I'm running the NYC Half Marathon on March 18th to support Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation. Running 13.1 miles won’t be easy, but I’m doing it both as a personal challenge and as a tribute to my dad. He was a match when I was a child, and his “marrow brother” is alive and well in California. I’m so proud of his generosity.
Your tax-deductible donation will be used to add new donors to the worldwide bone marrow registry. You can donate online via this page or you can mail your donation to 800 Yamato Road, Suite 101, Boca Raton, FL 33431. If you chose that option, please write my name on the memo line of your check.
Thank you for supporting me and this great cause!
Amanda
About the organization: Gift of Life is a leading bone marrow, blood stem cell, and umbilical cord blood registry that finds matching donors for patients suffering from leukemia, lymphoma, other cancers and genetic disorders.
Each year thousands of patients are diagnosed with illnesses that require stem cell or marrow transplants. Only about a third of the population has an HLA-matching sibling donor available for transplant. The rest must rely on a complete stranger to save their life. Your donation helps Gift of Life continue its lifesaving work!
