Our father is currently undergoing a different treatment because a perfect match has still not been identified. We feel it is important to continue to keep his search active so that, should his doctors recommend a transplant, we would have hopefully found him, and others, a perfect match. Please continue to help us in this search.
When Howard was initially diagnosed with AML, his family contacted Gift of Life regarding holding a donor drive in his honor, we were shocked and disheartened to learn that over 11,000 previously collected potential donor samples were waiting to be tested due to lack of funding. Many patients' life-saving match could be sitting in a box, just waiting to be found.
Each test costs $60 to process at the lab. Please consider sponsoring one or more tests, or even part of a test, every little bit helps. By clearing up some of the waiting list of samples we have the opportunity to find a match for Howard, as well as others who are in need of transplants.
