Dear Friends,
As you may know, I was recently diagnosed with leukemia, and a bone marrow transplant in the near future is looking like one of the best options for my recovery. As it turns out, I have a much better chance of finding a match with other Ashkenazi Jews. Would you consider being tested and becoming part of a national bone marrow registry for other patients in need? The Gift of Life Bone Marrow registry is the 11th largest out of 60 worldwide bone marrow registries and has successfully matched thousands of donors with transplant recipients. Being a donor could not only potentially be life-saving for me, but also for others?Jews and non-Jews?in similar situations.
The entire Gift of Life donation process--from providing a sample swab from inside your cheek and being selected for a potential match, to actually providing transplant material for a confirmed match--is described during the registration process.
Thank you so much for your support!
