Stephen was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in 2012. With no donors in the family, he turned to the worldwide registries in the search for an unrelated donor who might be a match. The Gift of Life organization entered into our lives in support of the quest and Steve has recieved two bone marrow transplants and is in remission.
Recognizing the need to grow the registry and provide help to others like Stephen, the Colen family has embarked on efforts to recruit donors and raise the funds for testing.
