This year Concordia Emergency & Medical Team, of Concordia University is hosting a Bone Marrow Drive for Jayden Roll with help from the Gift of Life. The drive will take place on April 3 and April 4 on Loyola as well as Sir George William’s Campus. The Gift of Life is an organization that helps find matches for blood and marrow transplants for patients suffering from leukemia, lymphoma, other cancers and genetic disorders. That is, of course, if a donor can be found. The vision of Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation is simple: A match. Anytime. Anywhere.
Jayden is a playful energetic, young girl that loves life. On February 11th, after a few days of extreme fatigue and headaches, we found out Jayden's blood levels were abnormally low. A bone marrow biopsy found that her bone marrow was failing to create new blood cells. Recently, Jayden has been living off of blood transfusions until doctors can figure out a sustainable treatment for her. Her battle has started and she will be faced the most aggressive Chemotherapy treatments followed by a bone marrow transplant, if a donor can be found. I am hoping that you will be able to support us in our efforts in finding Jayden a match
Thank you,
