Emily, as part of her Girl Scout Silver Project, she would like to raise awareness about leukemia and the need for Marrow Donors to help save lives.
This project is as it is of great importance to Emily and our family. Emily’s uncle was diagnosed with AML over 2 years ago, after several rounds of Chemo he was in remission for just a short year. His cancer is back and he is need of a bone marrow transplant. 80 percent of bone marrow transplant are actually stem cells which are extracted from blood. This makes being a marrow donor nearly as simple as a blood donor! If you are or know of healthy people ages 18-45 that are willing to join the registry please share this with them and stop by, it would mean a lot to us and you could potentially save a life. Your Marrow Donation Matters and could be the one?? Please join our donor circle https://www.giftoflife.org/dc/emilysswabforacure
