Ten-year-old Evan urgently needs a bone marrow transplant and you could be his match!  #EvansWarriors

The fourth grader from Clay County, Tenn., recently found out that his leukemia has returned. He will need to stay in Vanderbilt Children's Hospital in Nashville to receive intense chemotherapy treatment, radiation, and hopefully — a bone marrow transplant.

Evan was initially diagnosed with leukemia in January 2017 and completed  3-1/2 years of treatment in May 2020. However, in September he was told that he had relapsed. The leukemia has now spread from his bone marrow to his spinal fluids. He has been through so much in his young little life.

Evan has two older siblings, Madison and Ethan, and a new puppy named Bella.  He is a huge sports fan and some of his favorite teams are the Tennessee Volunteers, Indiana State Sycamores, Tennessee Titans, Atlanta Braves and Golden State Warriors. 

WHAT YOU CAN DO

  • Donors may join the registry on turning 18. Donors over the age of 35 can join the registry but we ask that you to please donate $60 to offset the lab fees – Click here to learn why.

  • Certain medical conditions may mean you are not able to join the registry or donate – Click here to check the Conditions List. If you're not sure, a health history questionnaire is part of the registration process. 
• Sponsor a swab kit. Click on the orange "Give to My Circle" button. Lab processing of every kit costs $60. Your contribution will help add new donors to the registry, who may be a match for Evan or another patient. 
• Spread the word. Use the social media links to the right to share Evan's story in your Facebook or Twitter accounts, and please share on your TikTok and Instagram as well. The more people who order a swab kit and join the registry, the faster Evan will find a donor. #EvansWarriors
