Are you Keith’s lifesaving match? Order your swab kit and find out if you’re his hero!
Keith is a 35-year-old husband, father of three children aged 16, 14, and 7, and is retired from an incredible career as a Police Officer from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. Keith received the Medal of Valor during his tenure with the department.
On May 28, 2026, after experiencing symptoms like anemia, extreme fatigue, and an enlarged spleen, he was diagnosed with myelofibrosis, a rare form of blood cancer. He is going through treatment at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas, but it is 800 miles from his family's new home in Kentucky.
He urgently needs a blood stem cell or marrow transplant as his best chance of a cure. Keith and his family are working with Gift of Life to search for his matching donor.
That’s where you come in! You could be Keith’s lifesaving hero without even knowing it. All it takes is a swab of your cheek to find out if you are a match for him or another patient in need.
Keith’s family ancestry is White/Caucasian and because transplant compatibility follows ancestry, his best chance of a match is with someone of the same background.
Our goal is to help Keith beat this diagnosis and get back to normal life. Being there for his three children and his wife means everything to him. Let’s make sure this beautiful family has an incredible future together.
Keith likes to spend time going to the gym with his family, cooking, and helping the kids practice to develop their talents.
To the right, you’ll also see a button called “Subscribe.” Click there to get updates! Every time a match or a transplant sponsored by this circle happens, you’ll get a short email to let you know about our success.
When you swab your cheek to join Gift of Life, those swabs are tested for HLA results and stored in an international database so that patients around the world can find matching donors and be saved. Your personal data remains confidential; the only thing they see is your specific HLA makeup.
Thank you for visiting our Donor Circle. Gift of Life cannot do this lifesaving work without your support.
