At The Mission, we advocate and foster both art and artists that have been underrepresented and undervalued in our society. We look to support projects that fulfill the obligation to the audience – first and foremost to entertain, but just as importantly, to serve as a reflection of the world around us – not just who we are, but who we could be.
Now, we look to continue that same work with Gift of Life, a non-profit organization focused on expanding the bone marrow and blood stem cell registry to help people suffering from life-threatening illnesses like leukemia and lymphoma. Right now, if you’re a POC who contracts one of these diseases, your odds of finding a match are less than 50%.
We know you care about equal representation just as much as we do and, by getting swabbed, you can support that same cause when it comes to life and death.
