Why I’m running for Gift of Life

Years ago, my mother made a decision that changed someone else’s life: she donated stem cells to a stranger in need. She didn’t know the person on the other end. She just knew she could help, so she did.

Her gift stays with me. Somewhere out there is a person who got more time with their family because a stranger said yes. That’s the kind of impact I want to be part of.

This year I’m running the Jerusalem Marathon half marathon, and I’m raising $3,000 for Gift of Life, the organization that makes matches like my mother’s possible. Every dollar goes toward registering new donors and supporting patients searching for the match that could save them.

I’m taking the 21 kilometers. I’m asking you to take the next step with me.
