Gift of Life Marrow Registry's 15th Annual Steps for Life 5k on January 25, 2026, was held at the Florida Atlantic University stadium. More than 1,000 South Floridians took to the streets on the beautiful FAU campus for the 5k to fight blood cancer.

The Gift of Life, a nonprofit organization based in Boca Raton, connects patients with blood cancers and other diseases to life-saving stem cell and bone marrow donors, offering a unique donation experience. "This is where the donors come to donate their stem cells every single day," said Jay Feinberg, founder and CEO of the Gift of Life registry, during a tour of the collection center. He explained that they have elevated the experience for donors to a "hotel, concierge-style vibe."

Hundreds of people are expected to attend the Gift of Life Marrow Registry's annual Steps for Life South Florida 5K run-and-walk, where two blood cancer survivors will meet their stem cell donors for the first time.
