Overwatch League team Florida Mayhem will be fighting to cure blood cancer at the Steps for Life 5K event this upcoming Sunday. Florida Mayhem has joined forces with Gift of Life, an organization dedicated to saving lives through bone marrow and stem cell transplants. We're walking (and running) for a cure!

Eric Steger donates a lot — not money, but parts of his body. And he gives them to people he doesn’t know. In 2007, the 50-year-old Sunnyvale man donated bone marrow to a dying woman in Maryland, saving her life. In 2010, he flew to Israel to donate a kidney to a desperately ill woman, but he was rejected when doctors diagnosed him with hypertension. Last week, he donated part of his liver to a rabbi living in Iowa.

The formal ceremony of the 2020 Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Action Awards will take place at a gala reception and dinner on January 23, during the 15th annual World Stem Cell Summit (WSCS) at the Hyatt Regency in Miami.

2020 Honorees include Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Emily Whitehead Foundation, Gift of Life Marrow Registry and Ret. Major General Bernard "Burn" Loeffke (US Military).
