Amid heightened awareness of unequal health outcomes for Black people in the U.S., a new film for the Gift of Life Marrow Registry featuring rapper and lyricist Terrell "Trizzy" Myles has launched to encourage others to join the fight against blood cancer and save lives. The short film, Blood is Thicker, features an original poem and music by Myles, who was inspired to bring a message of hope and a resounding call to action that reminds us how one selfless act can positively change the outcome of a life, a family and an entire community.

Esports at UCF Plays to Battle Blood Cancer

A pandemic can stop the world, but it cannot stop cancer. The Esports Club at UCF partnered with the Gift of Life to raise funds for their Bone Marrow Registry last weekend. "Our big reason for choosing to participate was just wanting to help promote this amazing cause and spread awareness of how easy it is to join a bone marrow registry," said Jacob Powers, treasurer for Esports at UCF.
