Boca Raton father raises awareness about bone marrow donations after losing son to leukemia

A South Florida father is turning the loss of his son into helping others. 19-year-old Nicholas McClary died last November after a three-year battle with leukemia. During those three years, McClary waited for a match for a bone marrow transplant.

Union Lacrosse: A Legacy of Saving Lives

The Union College men's lacrosse team may be nationally ranked this season due to their play on the field, but in recent years the Dutchmen also have been a national leader in a much more important category: saving lives through bone marrow drives and donations. For nearly a decade, the men's lacrosse program has led bone marrow drives on campus and have had no fewer than four players who have donated bone marrow in the hopes of saving a life.
