On Saturday, August 27, 2011, shoppers can go to their local Macy’s and receive the gift of savings while donating to a good cause. Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation has teamed up with Macy’s for their 6th Annual Shop for a Cause. For only $5, customers can receive a savings pass that allows them to save 25% off regular, sale and clearance items, and 10% off electrics/electronics, furniture, mattresses, and rug and floor coverings. Those who purchase a pass can also be entered to win a $500 Macy’s gift card.

Besides saving money on all those back to school clothes and items you may need, you’ll also be helping out a great cause. Gift of Life is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives through bone marrow transplants. What started off as a grassroots organization to find a match for Founder and Executive Director, Jay Feinberg, is now a leading international bone marrow registry committed to a match anytime, anywhere, for anyone.  For $5, you can help support Gift of Life in their mission and “shop for a cause!”
