First Annual Walk for Life - A Success!

On a sunny, South Florida morning, Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation supporters, families, friends, volunteers and staff joined together to hold its first annual “Walk for Life” walk-a-thon. The walk’s purpose was two-fold; first, to raise awareness of the importance of bone marrow and stem cell transplantation, and second, to gain financial support for Gift of Life to continue its life-saving mission.

This inaugural event was declared a success by all who were in attendance as it was announced that the goal for monies raised far exceeded what was projected.  Over $60,000 was raised and nearly 100 new donors joined the registry at the event!  Celebrating its accolade, but hardly resting on its accomplishment, Gift of Life is already also looking forward to an even more successful event next year.
