Gift of Life bone marrow donor Jill Goldsmith was featured on the CBS Early Show on December 17 with her transplant recipient, Matthew Welling. The donation, made possible by Gift of Life’s donor recruitment and fundraising efforts, saved Matthew’s life. The pair met for the very first time last May at the Gift of Life Annual Gala held in New York.

"I changed so many people's lives and most of all -- my own," Jill said. "It's really unbelievable that there is this world of good people out there willing to do such an amazing thing for others," said Susie, Matthew’s mother.

Gift of Life is an associate registry with the National Marrow Donor Program, and makes its donors available to the NMDP through that relationship.  Gift of Life also welcomes volunteers interested in becoming members of the Registry to join online. Registration involves a quick and simple cheek swab. Donors receive their kits in the mail.
