Promoted as a night of fun and a fundraiser, Gift of Life’s Havana Casino Night was a great success on both fronts! More than 145 people attended the event, which was held at the Mizner Country Club in Delray Beach, Fla. on January 30, 2016.
Guests played blackjack, craps, roulette, slots, and Texas hold ’em poker with a 75-25 purse. They had the opportunity to win many chance drawing prizes and two grand prizes of a flat screen television and vacation package.
The event was co-chaired by Marilyn Adler, Donna Krasner, and Dana Aberman. Upon arrival, guests posed for photos with a 1957 Chevy Bel-Air, which set the tone for the Cuban-themed evening. Partygoers enjoyed a salsa band, hand-rolled cigars, mojitos, and Cuban coffee and food.
“We cannot thank Mizner Country Club and our guests enough for their support and help in raising $25,000 at Casino Night,” said Gift of Life Founder and CEO Jay Feinberg. “These funds will truly help save lives by allowing us to find matching donors for children and adults battling blood cancer.”
Feinberg presented a certificate of recognition to Mizner Country Club General Manager and COO Larry Savvides. Savvides and Team Mizner (Country Club) have participated in the Boca Raton Walk for Life series since its inception six years ago.
