On Sunday, November 25th, Jordan Hiller will host his 6th Annual Game Night. This year, all proceeds from the event will benefit Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation in honor and memory, of Ayelet Galena z”l. Jordan, the organizer of the event, chose Gift of Life after speaking with Ayelet’s father, Seth Galena. Looking for a charity to benefit from his event, Seth told Jordan about Gift of Life’s important work and mission to find matches for patients in need.
The evening will raise money and help add new donors to the worldwide bone marrow registry. Ayelet was born with a rare genetic disorder and received a bone marrow transplant at the age 3. She tragically passed away, but her memory lives on in those she has helped. Thousands of donors have joined the registry in honor of Ayelet’s fight and fifty-two matches have been found for other patients in need as a result of drives held on her behalf and money raised to sponsor donors from other drives. Additionally, countless acts of kindness continue to be performed by people all over the world in her memory.
Game Night will be taking place at Young Israel of North Woodmere on Sunday, November 25th. Guests are invited to the Sunday Night football game and enjoy free food and beverages. Kickoff will be at 8:20pm with a pre-game tailgate at 7pm.
While the event is free, Jordan will be hosting a raffle for various sports goods and memorabilia. The first 60 guests who purchase at least $50 worth of raffle tickets will receive Gift of Life promotional items, including t-shirts, baseball caps, water bottles, bags, and bracelets. The purchaser of the most raffle tickets of the night will be awarded a large signed and framed Derek Jeter photograph, the second runner up will receive a signed and framed photograph of Eli Manning. Both prizes are provided by the wonderful people at Steiner Sports. The winner of the third largest purchase? Two Brooklyn Nets tickets, an awesome prize for any sports fan.
