Summary Statement
The Development Marketing Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting our organization's growth and impact through marketing efforts within the Development Department. This position requires a blend of creative thinking, forward thinking, and a passion for non-profit work.
This staff member will work closely with the Development and Marketing Teams as outlined below to help meet and/or exceed the Development Department’s annual fundraising goals.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for researching, identifying, applying for and coordinating the process of securing foundation and corporate grants in accordance with applicable standards, regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct research and develop strategies to leverage and secure new resources from private, non-profit and government sources in support of established goals and objectives set forth in the annual Development Plan.
- Work closely with the various staff members in the development and tracking of grant budgets, outcomes & deliverables, and reconciliation of information/reports.
- Be responsible for preparing and submitting progress and/or impact reports as required by funders ensuring that all appropriate staff is updated on a regular basis on the status of grant applications, approval and denials, and program fund distributions.
- Initiate contacts and develop relationships with prospective funders; maintain strong relationships with existing funding sources and represent the organization before funders and community partners as necessary.
- Develop and maintain effective information management systems for all grants which includes database administration through Gift of Life's proprietary software, MatchQuest™, for grant tracking purposes.
- Manage marketing and communications through Trello, an online project management program
- Communicate with Marketing Department on behalf of Development Department and manage timetable of all development-marketing initiatives
- Conceptualize and manage ‘Drip Campaigns’ throughout the year, to coincide with fundraising calendar
- Compose verbiage and creative concepts for Development solicitation campaigns
- Identify and engage corporate partners for event sponsorships
- Support the development department in the planning and coordination of events and projects to support overall development efforts and/or specific program needs.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Excellent skills including grant researching, writing and management of grants processes and reporting.
- Must be proactive, energetic, self-motivated, solution-oriented team player and able to meet deadlines with the ability to balance multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Superior project/time management skills - including planning/prioritizing, analysis, attention to detail, and advanced problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills.
- Must be reliable, flexible, and have the ability to work in partnership with other team members.
- Possess a motivated, “self-starter” personality, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing needs.
- Work well under pressure and with a variety of people.
- Advanced Microsoft Office software skills (including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Physical Demands
This position is basically sedentary with some walking, standing, stooping, and lifting required. May lift objects weighing from 0 to 20 lbs. with occasional lifting of objects over 20 lbs.
