Gift of Life’s Heroes Society is an elite group of people who have donated blood stem cells or bone marrow to save a life or have received a transplant. These are ordinary people who have done the extraordinary.
On several different platforms, this group comes together to discuss their shared experiences, network with each other and communicate topics of interest! As this exclusive group of people is so closely tied to Gift of Life, we use the opportunity to extend the call for volunteers to run drives, to invite alumni donors and recipients to participate in our fundraising events, and get their friends and family involved in our mission to save lives.
To cherish our Heroes Society, these individuals are honored annually at our Celebrating Life events in several major U.S. cities. This event is held as a symbol of our appreciation to our donors, and as support for our recipients and their journey back to good health.
