Firefighters from the Miami Beach Fire Department will take on fellow first responders from the Miami Beach Police Department in the city’s first "Battle of the Badges" to kick off Fire Prevention Week on Sunday, Oct. 5. The free event will be hosted by the Gift of Life Marrow Registry from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Fire Station 2 (2300 Pine Tree Drive).

As the holiday season draws near, the greatest gift for some may be the gift of life. That’s what Michael Moran ‘26 provided for a 25-year-old Hodgkin Lymphoma patient on September 23-26. Through Gift of Life [Marrow Registry], a non-profit organization working to cure blood cancer through cellular therapy, many athletes at Conn opted to add their names to the marrow registry.
