Art of Tea, an award-winning tea importer and wholesaler, has partnered with Gift of Life Marrow Registry during the first quarter of 2017 in support of our mission to find a matching transplant donor for every blood cancer patient. They have specifically selected their famous line of Matcha green teas as the focal point of the campaign.

Now through March 31, five percent of all Matcha sales will be donated to Gift of Life, which will use the funds to add new volunteer donors to the registry. Donors are needed to provide transplants for patients with leukemia, lymphoma and other cancers and life-threatening conditions. In many cases, transplantation is the only cure for these diseases.

Art of Tea, headquartered in Los Angeles, is famous for their fabulous specialty tea selections that are sourced from farmers on every continent. Matcha, a powdered green tea, is traditional throughout Eastern Asia, and now highly popular in the United States due to its unique flavor and healthful qualities. The tea is whisked into a froth using hot water and a bamboo whisk inside a tea bowl, from which it is drunk.
