Gift of Life is excited to announce an important approaching milestone!  Soon, we will be celebrating our 200,000th registered potential donor, and there are some tremendous plans in place to celebrate this momentous occasion. There are currently approximately 189,500 registered donors, our goal is to reach 200,000 by the end of 2011.  For the past 20 years, Gift of Life has been dedicated to saving lives through facilitating bone marrow transplants and has the distinguished honor of being the only bone marrow registry founded by a transplant recipient.
 
The fact that we are so close to attaining this goal shows the generosity and the willingness to help a complete stranger from those who have already registered.  “Sooner than later, we realize the power of saving lives becomes of greater value with the growth of the registry. This 200,000th mark shows the commitment of the people and the selflessness that our society still holds,” says Roxanne Rives, Gift of Life’s Social Media & Web Marketing Specialist.

To celebrate this very special occasion, Gift of Life has planned some wonderful events. To coincide with the goal of reaching 200,000 registered donors, a campaign to reach 200,000 friends on facebook has been launched. The goal is to have one person on our Facebook page per donor in the registry.
