A 24-year old University of Illinois Materials Science and Engineering graduate, who donated blood stem cells to a 61-year old from Australia, finally got to meet the man whose life he saved.

January 18th, 2015 was a warm, beautiful day in Boca Raton, Florida as Gift of Life’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, William Begal, took to the stage to welcome nearly 500 attendees to the Fifth Annual Walk for Life.
In a month filled with school spirit, Gift of Life is asking Hillels across America to "compete" against one another to raise awareness and promote the importance of registering to become a bone marrow donor and saving lives.
This fall, hundreds of Gift of Life’s volunteers and supporters walked and ran up and down the East Coast of the United States, raising awareness and over $100,000 at three Walk for Life events.
