For some people, summertime is about baseball, the all-American pastime. But for others, like those in the Jewish community of Manchester, New Hampshire, on July 26, 2010, baseball went beyond being just a pastime.
The Men’s Club of Beth El Temple in West Hartford, Connecticut recently received a Silver Torch Award for their event entitled, “A Perfect Match,” from the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs.

Today is a special day for a special little girl. July 2 will soon become Sarah’s second “birthday” – the anniversary of the transplant that we pray will bring her back to good health.
You’ll often find me sitting behind my desk in our South Florida office writing letters, signing checks, reviewing procedures and managing contracts. It’s all part of running a bone marrow registry, and while I know this is an essential part of my job, boy do I relish the opportunity to get out there in the field.
